Meatballs

Summary
These meatballs are really versatile and can be eaten on their own or can be cooked slowly in the oven with cabbage. There are lots of recipes for meatballs; some are hot and spicy while others can be cheesy and comforting.
Serves 1
Carbohydrate content; 1.1g per serving
Ingredients
  • 250g minced beef
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 egg
  • 1-2 garlic cloves
Instructions
  1. Fry the chopped onions and crushed garlic.
  2. When cooked and cooled, add to the mince and mix. Add salt and pepper to taste and then use an egg to bind the mixture. Mould the mixture into balls.
  3. Barbecue, grill or fry the meatballs.
  4. Extra additions: cheese (goat’s cheese, cheddar, Parmesan or stilton), chilli, bacon or coriander.
