Low Carb Burger

Summary
Burgers are great for low carbers – crack the basic recipe and then customise and pile high with your favourite toppings!
Serves: 6
Carbohydrate content: 0g of carbs per serving (16.6g for the whole dish)
Ingredients
  • 500g of your chosen minced meat (beef, pork, turkey or lamb)
  • Salt & Black Pepper
  • 1 egg, whisked
  • Options: garlic, grated onion, herbs, spices, chilli, grated cheese.
Instructions
  1. Mix everything together in a large bowl with your hands.
  2. Once blended well, shape the meat into 6 even sized burger patties and place onto a plate or baking sheet. Place in the fridge for at least half an hour.
  3. Lightly fry, bake in the oven or bbq (weather pending!) until cooked to your liking.
  4. Add your favourite toppings (our favourite is cheese, bacon & avocado) and serve with celeriac chips or dressed green salad.
  5. If you want to wrap your burger up replace the bread bun with crisp lettuce leaves.
